Context

 

We’re looking for a new Civil / Track Engineering Intern in our Infrastructure Group to help drive the objectives and challenges our valued clients have trusted us to solve for them. 

 

As a SYSTRA US Track Engineering Intern you will join a world-class team of high-performing engineers, designers, drafters and others who work collectively to ensure client projects continue to thrive while remaining on track and budget.

Missions/Main Duties

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support a variety of engineering tasks that will help you develop your technical, social and ethical skills
  • Learn the day-to-day function and team interaction in the Track Engineering career path
  • Assist with project research, field work and track design
  • Complete training on assigned tasks, including industry software
  • Assist in developing and maintaining company design and software standards

Profile/Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil/Structural Engineering undergraduate program
  • Demonstrated interest in Track, Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors and managers
  • Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology and tools
  • Ability to learn and adhere to workplace health, safety, drug/alcohol and harassment policies

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An interest in rail transportation
  • Experience with various civil engineering design programs and software, especially Bentley Microstation and/or Inroads
  • Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus

Salary Range: $25/hour, not eligible for benefits. SYSTRA USA is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
