POSITION SUMMARY

nVenia is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Supply Chain Summer Intern to support our Procurement team. This internship offers hands‑on exposure to daily purchasing activities that support manufacturing operations. The intern will work closely with buyers, planners, and suppliers to help ensure materials and components arrive on time and meet production requirements.



Qualifications

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, issue, and track purchase orders for materials, components, and services.
  • Communicate with suppliers to request information, confirm order details, and follow up on delivery status.
  • Maintain accurate procurement data, including lead times, within the Epicor ERP system.
  • Review order confirmations, packing slips, and invoices to assist with resolving discrepancies.
  • Support supplier performance tracking by gathering data and preparing routine reports.
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field
  • Organized, curious, and eager to learn within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross‑functional teams, including planning, operations, engineering, and finance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this internship, the employee may be required to stand or walk for extended periods during the workday. The role involves frequent use of hands and arms for tasks such as handling documents, working with computer systems, and assisting with materials or tools as needed. The employee may occasionally be required to bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The intern may occasionally lift or move materials up to 25–50 pounds, with assistance when appropriate. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of the role.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this internship, the employee may occasionally be exposed to a manufacturing environment that includes moving mechanical parts. Noise levels are generally moderate but may be loud at times.
