Job Summary
This internship provides a well‑rounded introduction to hospitality, customer experience, tourism, and visitor services, offering hands‑on exposure to guest engagement, customer service strategy, quality assurance, and citywide tourism operations. Interns will receive structured training, guidance, and supervision from CRVA management to ensure expectations and procedures are clearly communicated while gaining practical experience supporting customer experience programs, visitor services operations, and broader CRVA initiatives that enhance community hospitality and service excellence.
Customer Experience Program Support
 • Assist in preparing materials and managing registration for CX training programs.
 • Organize materials for meetings, trainings, and presentations.
 • Participate in Customer Experience Committee meetings and support related initiatives.
 • Assist with CX special projects, quality assurance activities, and reporting (including data entry and filing).
Visitor Info Center & Tourism Operations
 • Shadow Visitor Specialists across all CRVA Visitor Info Center locations, including the airport.
 • Learn call center operations, community outreach, retail operations, and mobile information desk functions.
 • Provide visitor information to tourists, locals, and convention attendees.
 • Promote Charlotte attractions, restaurants, accommodations, neighborhoods, and experiences.
 • Explore Charlotte to build knowledge of transportation, hotels, attractions, and shopping districts.
 • Distribute Charlotte City Guides to partners.
Professional & Administrative Support
 • Provide clerical support for CX and Visitor Services projects.
 • Promote and model the CRVA’s Service Philosophy and Standards.
 • Develop working knowledge of CRVA processes and departmental operations.
 • Attend required meetings, trainings, and DEI Advisory Committee programs.
 • Maintain professional attire, image, and demeanor; comply with all CRVA policies.
 • Perform other duties as assigned.
