OVERVIEW OF THE PARRIS FOUNDATION
The Parris Foundation (TPF) is a grassroots community-based organization committed to providing free services to disenfranchised populations. We provide holistic services through passionate staff, visionary board members, and active volunteers who share Parris’ spirit and values. Although grassroots, TPF is a nationally recognized advocate for healthy life choices, educational opportunities, empowering communities, and strengthening families.
TPF was initially founded to honor the memory of Parris R. Gaehring, who lost his life at a young age due to violence, with the creation of the Parris Gaehring Memorial Scholarship to graduating high school seniors. Continuing Parris Gaehring’s legacy of uplifting others and cherishing life, TPF grew quickly and now provides counseling wellness, educational services, as well as training and development services to individuals and groups in the community.
OUR MISSION
The mission of TPF is to encourage and provide opportunities for youth and the community through scholarship, training, and educational enhancement that facilitate healthy life choices and community development. We accomplish this mission through advocating equal access, victim services, training, educational enhancement, and integrity.
