The Hannah Schaller Memorial Internship by ZwillGen, announced in June 2025, is a new internship available Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 in the FPF Washington, DC office. The internship honors Hannah Schaller, who started her privacy career as a policy intern in the FPF DC office. The internship will provide hands on experience at the intersection of privacy, emerging technology, and evolving commercial business practices. The candidate selected for the Hannah Schaller Memorial Internship will work directly with and provide support to FPF's Policy staff.

Internship Structure

The Hannah Schaller Memorial Internship is structured as a 14-week, part-time (20 hours/week) program. Interns are paid at a rate of $20/hour for the Fall and Spring semesters. The Fall 2026 internship will run from late August/early September through late November/December 2026, and the Spring 2027 internship will run from January through April 2027. Start and end dates are flexible depending on the student's academic calendar. We welcome any graduate-level academic or professional background (typically this includes law students, MA/MBA, PhD students in a policy-related field, and/or career professionals).
