SUMMARY

The Sustaining Scientist Intern provides support to all team members within the Engineering and Chemical Production Departments. This internship will assist in production, development and/or validation activities on FDA cleared medical equipment or systems used to produce it. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As an intern you will have the opportunity to assist with the following;

  • Design / Implementation / Validation of equipment or processes related to the production of medical devices
  • Generate ISO13485 compliant documentation from efforts related to design and validation
  • Assist with product or process risk analysis and control
  • Work on Production activities (operating equipment, sampling, analysis, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Detail Oriented
  • Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and etiquette
  • Technical writing skills preferred
  • Ability to work well in a team or as an individual with little supervision
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Troubleshooting experience desired
  • Good punctuality and attendance
  • Good organization skills 


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Sophomore college standing working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in an science-related field with an emphasis on Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering preferred.
