Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for the aerospace, sporting goods, motorsport, and industrial markets. You will find our thermoset composite products on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military and commercial aircraft in production today. TAC also provides composites materials to industrial and recreational applications including mountain bikes, medical prosthetics, and sports equipment.
Our thermoplastic prepregs, known in the industry as Cetex®, are found in a wide range of commercial and military aircraft, including large wing structures and interior applications like seats and galleys. Our Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form in a variety of engineered thermoplastic resins including PEEK, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, PC/ABS, HDPE, and PP.
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
The Supply Chain Intern will be responsible to coordinate and administer Toray's annual supplier diversity survey. This includes developing communication to suppliers, distributing surveys, tracking responses and compiling data to determine supplier classifications such as small business, women-owned, minority-owned, veteran-owned or disadvantages business enterprises.
MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Maintain supplier contact lists
- Administer annual supplier diversity survey
- Follow-up with suppliers to encourage participation
- Organize survey results and perform data validation
- Support Supply Chain team with related administrative tasks
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a current college student and will continue schooling after the internship
- Proficient with MS Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work with survey tools (Forms, SurveyMonkey, etc)
- Possess basic data analysis skills
- Strong and professional communication skills
- Must be detail oriented and organized
- Ability to effectively interact with suppliers
- Solid ability to collaborate in a team as well as work independently
Pay rate: $20 - $25/hr
