Risk Management Intern

CBIZ is seeking a motivated Risk Management Intern to support our Risk Management team during the summer. This internship provides hands-on experience with risk, compliance, and internal governance processes within a professional services environment.

This is a great opportunity to gain practical exposure to risk management in a professional services environment while working alongside experienced professionals.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

• Assisting with risk related reporting, analysis, and special projects
• Assisting with documentation and review of risk management policies and procedures
• Supporting internal risk assessments and compliance monitoring activities
• Conducting research on regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Maintaining risk and compliance documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Risk Management, Business, Compliance, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field associated with the CBIZ business models; with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 preferred 
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Active participation in student organizations and work experience in related field a plus, but not required

Minimum Qualifications

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research and project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
• Ability to multi-task, think independently and problem solve in a results driven team oriented environment
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Strong computer and technical skills including, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, intranet and audit software
