Here's what you'll be doing
- Migrate and modernise our CfD hedge model: Lead the transition of our Contracts for Difference (CfD) hedge position model from Excel to Python. Translate complex inputs into clear, actionable hedge instructions. This migration will streamline updates, reduce errors on complex positions, and enable integration with weather risk models, Clean Power 2030 risk evaluations, and CfD derivative valuations.
- Understand and manage weather risk: Explore one of the largest and fastest-growing risks for energy retailers. Learn how weather and CfD derivatives are used to protect both our customers and the E.ON business.
- Analyse CfD market dynamics: Support discussions on CfD, evaluating how scheme nuances, market changes (including negative prices), and Clean Power 2030 uncertainties affect customer bills and hedge effectiveness.
- Enhance your technical skills: Build practical Python expertise while gaining a deeper understanding of energy markets and risk management.
