PRIMARY DUTIES: (Prerequisites: must have successfully fulfilled the position of Team Leader, Engineer or other management position.)
* Achieve financial targets for your scope of responsibility (P&L)
* Support the executive team in establishing monthly, quarterly, and annual Q, C, D, S targets
* Set weekly and possibly daily Q, C, D, S targets for your teams
* Using KPI derivation, develop and deploy continuous improvement projects to achieve targets
* Support the organization of continuous improvement workshops (Kaizen events) after defining above
* Mentor and hold accountable Team Leaders in the facilitation of weekly Vital Signs meetings
* Lead weekly Production meetings
* Schedule, lead, and/or participate in recurring customer requested coordination meetings
* With Quality, support customer onsite audits
* Be prepared to support monthly Q, C, D, S performance at Management Reviews
* Serve as Captain and/or team member of position-related 8D/problem solving activities
* Using customer demand, establish daily production schedule for all shifts, all lines within your scope
* Responsible for product quality, related Quality KPI's, and control of nonconforming product
* Through Autonomous Maintenance accountability, assure that routine maintenance tasks are completed on time
* Assure that all production equipment is in acceptable operating condition and is operating properly
* Assure that all production processes operate to the approved process control plan and within acceptable process control limits.
* Assure that all team members are properly trained and supervised on all shifts to work safely and effectively
* Monitor process documentation including Shift Handoff, Start-up/Shut-down and In-Process Monitoring Check sheets
* Establish and maintain a superb level of 6S at all times with a continuous improvement mindset
* As required, participate in Q-Certifications of finished product and oversee teams to achieve quality expectations
* Approve timecards, controlling overtime, and managing attendance policy
* Complete and hold your team leaders accountable for timely 30 Day, 90 Day, PADP, and other performance reviews.

* Hiring, performance appraisal and development, disciplinary actions Handbook)
* Plant opening and shutdown / Machine startup and shutdown
* Assure Zinc-It (ERP) status is updated and FIFO is followed
QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Awareness of the Management System Policy- Posted in the QMS within Zincit
* Awareness of Quality and Environmental Objectives
* Awareness of significant Environmental Aspects related to assigned facility
DUTIES NOT TO BE CARRIED OUT:
* Changing chemistry set points or machine set points (must work within Control Plan)
WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS: (only those actually necessary for the position) * Computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Zinc It
* Troubleshooting skills (Chemical and Mechanical)
* Proficient in the practical application of lean principles, methods and tools
* Practical working knowledge of basic SPC

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of management/leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferably electro-plating, surface finishing and/or corrosion protection
Training:
* Successful completion of Team Leader training
* Successful completion and proficient in the application of 8D methodology
* HWMOA or HWMO (Waste Treatment and Hazardous Waste Management Operator Assistant) and Training.
* Practical working knowledge of automotive and aerospace standards (AS9100 and TS 16949 Quality Standards, AIAG Standards)
Practical working knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Standard
