The JCPRD Natural Resource Internship provides an opportunity for college students and recent graduates to gain real world experience in natural area management.
The internship is designed to provide a broad set of skills that aren't available in the classroom including:Â
- Native seed collection and processing with community partners.
- Instruction and operation of Utility Terrain Vehicles, Tractors, and Forestry equipment.
- Invasive plant removal, chemical mixing, and safe herbicide use.
- ArcGIS and natural resource data collection.Â
-Wildlife/Fisheries tasks and Prescribed Fire opportunities if available.Â
