Apply mechanical engineering knowledge to the design, development and/or promotion of Wagstaff casting equipment.Â
Primary Job ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Assist with the design documents necessary for the production of research casting equipmentÂ
- Assist with finding solutions to problems using brainstorming and academic work to develop new equipmentÂ
- Create documented technical and analytical evaluations for design solutions as part of the project file, keeping safety, functionality, and cost effectiveness paramountÂ
- Work in the lab to conduct experiments for other Engineers and document the data.Â
- In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be requiredÂ
- Must exercise discretion and judgment to provide design and engineering solutions for Wagstaff-supplied equipmentÂ
- Abide by company policiesÂ
- Other duties as assignedÂ
QualificationsÂ
- Enrolled in a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant Engineering fieldÂ
General Characteristics:

- Applies prescribed and/or standard techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasksÂ
- Exercises limited judgment on details of work and in application of standard methods for conventional workÂ

- Assist with designs of a system, component, or process of standard complexityÂ
