IT Intern

Assured Information Security (AIS) has an opening for an IT Intern to provide Help Desk support. This temporary, casual position (up to 19 hours per week) is based onsite at our headquarters in Rome, NY. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist with support tickets.
• Provide basic phone/desktop support for end users.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems, as well as any accompanying software applications.
• Configure applications based on user requirements.
• Assist with application testing.
• Work with vendor support contacts to resolve hardware/software issues.
• Disseminate/collect computer equipment.
• Work with Enterprise Support staff to create basic documentation and instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar field of study.
• Previous AIS internship preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and information systems.
• Knowledge of using multiple operating systems (Windows and Linux). Mac OS experience is also valuable.
• Knowledge of applications, networks, and network security.
• Scripting experience and software development experience is a plus.

US Hourly Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including skills and experience.
