IT Intern

About the Role 

We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and tech-savvy IT Intern to assist our IT Department. 

This position will be under the supervision of the IT Manager. You will assist with supporting the general IT needs of J.M. Longyear and its subsidiaries. 

Essential Function / Duties

• Provide entry-level to mid-level technical assistance to staff and customers on hardware and software-related issues. 
• Assist in management of the internal helpdesk ticketing system. 
• Monitor several systems for alerts and performance. 
• Follow established procedures and processes for systems maintenance and management. 
• Provide training and support for team members on the use of computer systems and software where necessary. 
• Research and recommend solutions for technical problems. 
• Add and maintain existing documentation.

Work Schedule / Supervision

Position: Part-time/Internship; Onsite 

Recommended Education / Experience

Enrolled in a university or college program at junior or senior level, preferred course of

study to include Cyber Security, or related

Minimum GPA of 3.0

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office

equipment, as well as onsite visits to manufacturing operations which may require the use of

personal protective equipment.
