About the Role

The firm is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounting/Finance Intern or Co-op Student to join their team for the 2025 Summer  to 2026 Spring term. This is an exciting opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in financial operations, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting within a dynamic and supportive environment. Interns will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, financial analysis, and participate in strategic projects that influence real business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Perform data entry and coding of invoices in compliance with company policies
  • Support monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Analyze financial statements including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
  • Assist in preparing accurate and timely internal financial reports and audits
  • Track and monitor budget performance and help prepare financial forecasts
  • Support financial compliance efforts and maintain documentation for audit readiness
  • Participate in ad hoc financial projects, data analysis, and reporting improvements
  • Collaborate with team members on process improvement initiatives

About You

  • Near completion or recently graduated from a program in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or ERP Accounting systems) is an asset
  • Familiarity with financial statements, forecasting, and budgeting processes
  • Eagerness to learn, with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to developing a career in accounting or finance and pursuing a professional designation (e.g., CPA) is preferred
