Data Management Intern

As a Data Management Intern, you'll play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making across our organization. Working closely with our Finance team, you'll gain real-world experience collecting, analyzing, and transforming data into actionable insights that support our programs and the individuals we serve.

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:

• On-site position, full-time, 32 hours per week.
• Monday-Thursday, 8 hours per day.
• Salary range $20.50/hr (hourly/non-exempt).

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Collect, clean, and analyze both structured and unstructured data.
• Build reports and dashboards using tools like Microsoft Excel.
• Support program evaluation through analysis of participant and outcome data.
• Maintain and handle confidential data in a responsible manner, including HIPAA-protected information.
• Assist with organizing and managing multiple data priorities.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to agency-wide initiatives.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing learning opportunities.

WHAT YOU BRING:

Education/Training:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:

• Basic experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or Python.
• Experience with data visualization tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to assist others.
• The ability to observe details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer).
• Consistently position oneself to assist others.
• The ability to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in all situations.
• This position operates in a shared office environment with cubicles.  
• The role is primarily desk-based and involves extended periods of sitting while performing tasks.
