SUMMER INTERNSHIP
Daikin offers a well-established 11-week summer internship program where students contribute to meaningful projects. We emphasize a culture of mentorship, training, and collaboration, encouraging interns to ask questions, challenge ideas, and think creatively. Interns gain valuable hands-on experience in a thriving industry with strong opportunities for growth and development.
During the internship, college students will:
Work on an individual project with your direct team
Work with other interns on a group project

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Logistics intern analyzes the supply chain, transportation, and distribution network and develops recommendations for reducing freight costs, creating material efficiencies, and improving on-time delivery. Responsible for the development and maintenance of inventory levels throughout a multitiered distribution system with hundreds of locations and thousands of products enabling and supporting sales while minimizing lost opportunities. Manages deployment planning across multiple regions and divisions operating with autonomy to support both local needs, regulatory controls, product transitions and corporate targets.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Extract data and generate reporting to assist in performance tracking and decision-making.
Review manufacturing and logistics processes to develop distribution and stocking plan for designated customers.
Conduct research to support customer requests and data needs
Perform analysis to review potential pitfalls and gaps as identified by others
Support and enact solutions across customer service, inventory planning, warehouse operations, and product procurement to focused on service improvements and cost reductions.
Create reporting, analyses and dashboards based upon active needs of the organization
Maintain system data sets regarding product, customers, and processes to support ERP and Deployment Systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various activities.
Follow established processes, procedures and Company policies.
