INTERN TITLE: Calvary Music Youth Intern
DEPARTMENT: Youth Ministry
REPORTS TO:  Youth Worship Leaders
HOURS: 20-25 hours per week
LOCATION: Fort Lauderdale Campus

Mission of Youth Worship Ministry:
 
We are called to disciple, both musically and spiritually, the next generation of worship leaders, equipping them with a deeper understanding of the gospel, scripture, prayer, worship, leadership, and God’s love. This discipleship includes teaching students what it looks like to love and serve their congregation well.

Role of Calvary Music Youth (CMY) Intern:
  • Disciple CMY Students
  • Schedule Songs
  • Schedule People
  • Build Planning Center Sets
  • Build Ableton Sets
  • Plan Extended Worship Sets
  • Assist in Planning CMY Events
  • Assist in Planning Youth Hangout Nights and other Youth events
  • Assist in Communication to CMY
  • Onboard New Students to CMY
  • Help Identify New Leaders
  • Lead Rehearsals and Weekend Worship Sets
  • Ongoing Projects as Assigned
Learning goals:
  • You will learn how to lead rehearsals and worship services independently.
  • You will grow in your ability to communicate biblical truth to students from 6th-12th grade.
  • You will grow in 1-1 discipleship skills.
  • You will learn how to use Ableton proficiently.
  • You will learn the behind-the-scenes aspects of youth worship ministry.
  • You will gain insight into how large, special events are planned and executed.
  • You will learn how to perform various administrative tasks.

  • Effective in written, listening, and oral communication skills.
Work Schedule:
 
Thursday: 9a - 4p
Friday: 9a - 2p (Intern cohort)
Saturday: 2:30p - 7:30p for rehearsal and service
Sunday: 8:30a - 12:30p for rehearsal and service
Occasional Friday and Sunday nights for Youth and CMY events

*Hours and days may vary depending on campus-wide events taking place. Additionally, you may have to bend, sit, or stand for prolonged periods of time, lift, pull, push and/or move up to 35 lbs
