About the Role:
As an Accounts Receivable Intern, you will play a critical role in supporting the finance team by assisting with the invoicing, collections, payment processing, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a solid understanding of accounts receivable processes, contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations. You’ll collaborate with a talented team to drive innovation and excellence, taking ownership of key responsibilities that directly contribute to our success.
 
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Process daily invoices accurately and timely.
  • Assist with coding, posting, and processing customer payments.
  • Support AR Supervisor with customer follow-ups on outstanding payments and update account records.
  • Respond to customer inquiries about payments, invoices, and account status under AR Supervisor guidance.
  • Create and maintain customer records as needed.
  • Assist in reconciling customer accounts and processing credits, debits, and RMAs for accurate reporting.
  • Help prepare reports on accounts receivable aging, cash receipts, and key performance indicators.
  • Provide filing, scanning, and other departmental support as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Education, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:
  • No prior experience required; relevant coursework or internships in accounting or finance are a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work professionally with customers and team members
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Willing to learn and adapt to new software and systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Enthusiasm for a career in accounting and finance
  • Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) is a plus.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, preferably with junior standing, working toward a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Related Field.
  • Available to work part-time (10-20 hours/week) during the school year and full-time in the summer, with flexible scheduling.
  • Own housing and transportation in the Mequon, WI area.
