Interfaith Community Service - Logistics Intern


MODE: In-Person
SALARY: Hourly, $17.00 per hour

Reports to: Transportation Coordinator
Work Schedule: Up to 19.5 hours/week
Location: 2820 W Ina Rd, Tucson, AZ 85741

PLEASE NOTE: This position is only available to active and enrolled Pima Community College students with work authorization status.

 

Description:

This position supports the logistics coordinator in various administrative and operational tasks related to logistic operations. The intern plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth function of logistic activities within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with participant requests for transportation and shopping. Responsibilities include answering phone calls, coordinating participants with volunteer drivers, and entering data into database systems.
  • Respond to Participant requests and assign volunteers to complete the services needed.
  • Assist with special projects and/or events.
  • Promote positive interactions with ICS Participants and volunteers.
  • Interest in learning new software
  • Support all Senior Services programs
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively communicate/interact with seniors/disabled adults
  • Skilled in data entry and written documentation.
  • Must be well-organized and detail-oriented in a fast paced, work environment.
  •  Proficient with MS Office. Must be able to accept direction on assignments, work independently and with a team.
  • Must pass a background check and obtain and maintain a level one fingerprint clearance card. All fees for this process are covered by ICS.
