Technology Enablement Intern

The Team

Join a hands-on R&D environment focused on advanced 3D data modeling and enterprise digital asset management. You’ll work in small, collaborative groups under the guidance of senior systems engineers to build and support data products that improve how American Tower understands and interacts with its assets. As part of a technology R&D team, you’ll learn how to partner cross‑functionally to develop solutions that drive operational efficiency and net cost reductions for the Company.

What You Can Offer Us

•    Contribute to R&D projects that deliver new, data‑driven software solutions enhancing how American Tower interacts with its assets.
•    Build interactive models and visualizations of ATC assets using modern tools and techniques.
•    Ensure data quality and scalability by collaborating with peers and mentors on processing and analysis workflows.
•    Explore drone and ground-collected data use cases to improve operations; help shape scopes and requirements under guidance.
•    Document, demo, and iterate on your work, incorporating feedback from mentors and stakeholders.
•    Continuously learn and improve, taking initiative to explore new technologies and share ideas.
•    Other duties as assigned.

 

What You Need To Succeed

•    Education: Currently enrolled in a 4–5‑year CSEE degree program (Computer Science, Software/Systems/EE or related). Focus in cloud computing and/or AI/ML preferred.
•    Academic Standing: GPA 3.5+ preferred.
•    Programming: Proficiency in one or more of Python, JavaScript, or Java.
•    Cloud Basics: Foundational understanding of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
•    AI/ML Exposure: Experience through coursework and/or projects preferred.
•    Ways of Working: Ability to work independently and within small, cross‑functional teams.
•    Communication: Strong written and verbal skills; able to present ideas clearly and effectively.
•    Organization: Strong prioritization and time management in a fast‑paced environment.
