Media Production Intern
Summer 2026 | Covington, Louisiana
Overview
Laborde Products is seeking a Media Production Intern to join our marketing team for Summer 2026. This is an in-person, field-based opportunity for a motivated graduating senior or recent graduate looking to build a professional portfolio while producing real content for a growing marine industry company.
This role is not observational. Interns will create real media used by the business, including social media content, promotional videos, and internal training footage.
Our team works in the commercial marine industry, which means much of the work happens outside the office in shipyards, on vessels, and in industrial environments across the Greater New Orleans region.
We are looking for someone creative, professional, and comfortable working in dynamic field environments.
What You’ll Work On
The Media Production Intern will work closely with Laborde’s marketing department to produce video content that showcases:
• Life in the field with marine technicians and service teams
• Repower projects and commercial vessels
• Company culture and team events
• Customer stories and industry insights
• Internal training and educational videos
This role offers the opportunity to capture real industrial environments and transform them into compelling visual stories.
Responsibilities
• Travel throughout the Greater New Orleans region to capture video content in shipyards and field service environments
• Film technicians, vessels, and projects while maintaining a professional and unobtrusive presence on job sites
• Edit footage into short-form and long-form video content for multiple platforms
• Work with the marketing team to develop storyboards, scripts, and shot lists
• Produce content for social media, marketing campaigns, internal training videos, and recruiting or company culture content
• Assist with organizing video assets and maintaining a content library
• Participate in marketing meetings to plan upcoming content opportunities
What Makes This Internship Unique
This is hands-on production experience, not a classroom extension.
You will leave the summer with:
• Professional video projects used by a real company
• A portfolio of published content
• Experience filming in dynamic industrial environments
• Exposure to marketing strategy and brand storytelling
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:

• Comfortable filming in industrial environments such as boats, shipyards, and shops
• Professional in appearance and conduct when working around customers and crews
• Naturally observant and able to capture authentic moments
• Organized and able to meet production deadlines
• Excited to build a strong professional portfolio
This role requires someone who can operate confidently and respectfully around working crews without disrupting their workflow.

• Camera operation
• Audio capture

• Comfortable climbing aboard vessels and navigating industrial environments
• Available between May and August 2026 with flexible start and end dates
