ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following duties are typical for this position; however, other duties may be assigned as available or necessary. This list in exclusive to all tasks, nor is it all inclusive. To be successful in this role, an individual must complete each task satisfactorily to the standard of the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
- Maintain Confidentiality
- Vehicle maintenance and shuttling
- Create Professional Documents/Documentation
- Use office tools
- Contribute to Report Writing
- Support Training
- Observe Court Testimony
- Provide Community Law Enforcement Education
- Monitor Weather/Environment Conditions
- Assist in Investigations
- Assist/Support Evidence Custodians
- Deploy Equipment in the Community
- Support Tobacco Sales Compliance
- Support Traffic Control Efforts
- Support Foot Patrols
- Develop Public Relations Materials
- Support the Review of Traffic and Crime Data
- Support follow-up efforts
- Other tasks as directed by the Sheriff
PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Reliable attendance
- Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment.
- This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling and reaching with hands and arms.
- Work has standard vision requirements.
- Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
- Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.
- Work is generally in a moderately noisy office setting.
- Work requires observing general surroundings and activities.
- Work will include occasional outdoor activities in seasonal weather extremes.
- Skill in organizational and time management to prioritize duties
