About the hospital: Ridgewood Animal Hospital located in Forest, VA on the outskirts of Lynchburg, Virginia is looking for a Veterinary extern to join our team!

Ridgewood Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary clinic for household pets, proudly serving Forest, Lynchburg, Bedford & surrounding areas. Since its inception in 1978, Ridgewood has been known for offering superior care to the residents of this region. The entire team is committed to sincere patient care and compassion while helping our pet parents navigate healthcare decisions.

We offer wellness care and vaccinations, diagnostic work-up of complex medical cases, chemotherapy, routine surgeries such as spaying & neutering as well as more complex soft tissue / orthopedic procedures. Our highly skilled veterinary staff focuses on Fear Free patient care, comprehensive pain management and employing the most current medical / surgical techniques.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an AVMA accredited Veterinary School (VMD or DVM degree path)
