The Opportunity: Marketing Communications Intern

Gain hands-on experience in digital marketing as a Marketing Communications Intern, supporting campaign execution and content creation for Realityworks and CreXo. You'll write and edit marketing materials, assist with strategy and performance tracking, and collaborate across teams to contribute to real-world projects.

Internship Duration and Schedule

This internship begins in June 2026 and continues through May 2027. Interns typically work 12–15 hours per week during the semester, with flexible scheduling to fit around classes, and 25–30 hours per week in the summer. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create & Edit Cool Content
     Help craft compelling blog posts, customer success stories, email campaigns, and social media content that connects with educators and students nationwide.
  • Be a Campaign Contributor
     Share your ideas and write copy for digital marketing campaigns. You’ll help organize creative assets and see your work come to life online.
  • Web Content Wizardry
     Collaborate with the lead generation team to update landing pages and web content that drive engagement and conversions.
  • Track What Works
     Learn how to measure success by gathering campaign performance data and assisting with reports that guide future strategy.
  • Research Like a Pro
     Dive into audience insights, industry trends, and competitor messaging to help shape content strategy and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Organize Creative Assets
     Help manage our digital content library and asset system so our team can easily access and reuse great content.
  • Collaborate Across Teams
     Work with product, sales, and design teams to gather info and ensure our messaging is consistent and on-brand.
  • Join the Brainstorm
     Attend team meetings and contribute to creative sessions where your ideas can influence real campaigns.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Actively enrolled in a degree program focused on marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, graphic design, or a related field  
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with demonstrated ability to craft clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate content  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint  
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) preferred  
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a team environment  
  • Interest in educational marketing and storytelling across digital platforms  

 

Work Location

Realityworks is located in Eau Claire, WI.  This is a hybrid position, splitting time between working from a home office and working onsite at the corporate office
