Landscape Architecture / Landscape Design Intern

Ottawa Office

Summer 2026

$20 to $25/hourly

With the support and guidance of Landscape Architects and Landscape Designers, you will work collaboratively with all disciplines of the firm on a variety of projects. This role is with our Ottawa office and is an in-office position with occasional on-site work.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct site assessment and construction review visits and prepare supporting documentation.
• Prepare contract drawing packages (layout, grading and planting plans and construction details).
• Prepare landscape plans to support development approvals.
• Prepare graphic images to support proposals.
• Assist with preparing and conducting public engagement activities.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements include:

• Applicants must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program in Landscape Architecture, a Landscape Design program or a Landscape Architecture Technology program.
• A demonstrated basic competency with AutoCAD, Adobe CS, Microsoft Office. Experience with SketchUp, Enscape or Rhino would be considered beneficial.
• Proven ability to communicate ideas through hand drawing and sketching.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex information.
• Desire and ability to work independently and as part of a larger design team.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, write clearly, and resolve problems creatively.
• Applicants must have a valid driver's license and occasional access to a vehicle for site review visits.
