Why Intern With WINGS?
· Direct work with adults, children, and families experiencing domestic violence or homelessness
· Trauma-informed practice and safety-planning skills
· Weekly supervision (1–2 hours individual; 1.5 hours group in some settings)
What You’ll Do
· Assessments and intakes
· Case management support
· Individual and group counseling
· Collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
· Participation in department and team meetings

Internship Requirements
(Completed/submitted after internship offer)
· 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training (provided by WINGS; counts toward hours for 340+ hour students)
· School liability insurance
· Criminal background check
· DCFS background check
· Two letters of recommendation
· Unofficial transcripts
· 12–25 hours/week including 1–2 evenings, possible weekend availability
· Undergraduate or graduate students in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field
Locations
Chicago and the Northwest Suburbs
(placement determined by skill level and program needs)

WINGS asks that internships be connected to a student’s school, either as a required component of their program or for internship credit.
