2026 Summer Narrative Design Internship
At Wizards of the Coast, we connect people around the world through play and imagination. The Internship Experience
Hasbro’s Summer Internship Program offers a behind-the-scenes look at how a global play and entertainment company operates- paired with the opportunity to make a real impact.
Interns are fully embedded on their teams and trusted to own meaningful business projects aligned to team priorities. Throughout the summer, you’ll contribute to work that matters.
What You'll Do as a Narrative Design Intern:
Join in creative meetings with writers, artists, and designers to refine our characters and story
Develop and maintain character and lore documents so that other teams can easily find what they need to know about the narrative
Research setting details to keep our story true to established canon
Play and give feedback on narrative prototypes
What You'll Bring:
Curiosity about the practical side of developing narrative for video games
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Willingness to give and receive constructive feedback
Familiarity with online document editing tools, such as Google Docs, wiki tools, etc
Experience writing interactive stories (such as roleplaying games, interactive fiction, branching story books, etc). This does not need to be paid professional experience. We encourage applicants who have done student projects or hobby work.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with our games and settings
Familiarity with fantasy literature and video games
Program Details
Interview Timeline: February – April
Program Dates:
Start: Early June (target June 8)
End: Late August (target August 21)
Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Compensation:
Undergraduate Interns: $33.00 – $39.00/hour
Final rates communicated during offer process

The base salary range for this position is $33.00 to $39.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
