The Leadership and Professional Development Services (LPDS) team leads NAFSA’s efforts to create and deliver professional development programs and services to the international education field. The LDPS department is comprised of the following professional areas:
This internship is a joint position, shared between the departmental units and reporting to the Associate Director, Regional Affairs.
Summer 2026 Intern ProjectsÂ
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter; proficient with Microsoft Office suite applications, especially Excel and Word; experienced with customer service; adept with Zoom and social media platforms; and have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills. Preferred candidates will have an interest in and/or knowledge of higher education, international education, international education research, and U.S. campus internationalization.Â
Compensation: $18.00/hour for 20 hours per week with opportunity for holiday, retirement benefits, if eligible.

We welcome F-1 students wishing to complete their practical training through their established curricular practical training (CPT) and optional practical training (OPT) eligibility.
