Intern, AS Systems Engineering

The Systems Engineering co-op at Kulicke & Soffa will work with senior systems engineers to analyze, test, and improve the performance of high speed, high accuracy semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role focuses on understanding complex physical systems by connecting analytical thinking with experimental data and iterative learning. The co-op will support system and subsystem level performance studies, assist with experimental testing, and help identify system constraints, tradeoffs, and opportunities for improvement. The position is well suited for students who enjoy solving challenging engineering problems that span multiple disciplines and involve both analysis and hands on interaction with hardware. 

Key Responsibilities: • Analyze and explore system and subsystem level behavior in high precision equipment • Support setup, execution, and analysis of experimental tests to validate system behavior • Execute test plans, collect measurement data, and perform basic data analysis and validation • Identify and communicate system constraints, uncertainties, and performance tradeoffs • Conduct trade studies and support system optimization efforts • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers • Clearly document assumptions, methods, results, and findings • Other Duties as assigned
