HEALTHCARE INTERN

  Memorial Community Hospital & Health System is seeking a Healthcare Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands‑on exposure to the daily operations of a thriving healthcare organization. Working alongside leaders across multiple departments, the intern will engage in meaningful projects, observe real-world healthcare workflows, and contribute to both clinical and non‑clinical initiatives. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain a well‑rounded understanding of how a healthcare system operates from end to end. Eligibility Requirements This internship is designed for incoming high‑school seniors who reside in Washington County, Nebraska. Successful completion of a background check Successful completion of a drug screening and physical assessment, as required in healthcare settings Preferred Qualifications Strong interest in pursuing a career in healthcare Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, including patient-related information Strong attention to detail Solid critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment Schedule & Hours Average of 12 hours per week Internship hours will take place during regular business hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday) We will collaborate with the intern to build a schedule that aligns with their school and personal availability What This Internship Offers Exposure to both clinical and non‑clinical departments, offering a comprehensive view of healthcare operations Mentorship and guidance from leaders across the organization Opportunities to contribute to meaningful projects that support patient care and hospital operations A foundation for future healthcare education and career pathways   To be considered, please apply by April 2, 2026.
