Metallus Internship Program

Internship Assignment: Full Time – Summer 2027

• Start date: 05/17/2027

• Assist with safety audits, inspections, and field observations

• Support incident, near-miss, and hazard reporting reviews

• Help maintain safety documentation, training records, and data tracking

• Participate in safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and meetings

• Assist with development of safety communications and materials

• Emergency Action Plan improvements/reviews/development

• Job Safety Analysis review and validation

• Plant Safety Lead support

• Support special safety projects as assigned

Internship Qualifications:

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

• Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester

• Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university

• Preferred majors: Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, or related

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
