Description

Martin/Martin, Inc. is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Co-op with a focus on Structural and/or Civil Engineering to join our dynamic team. The co-op job is for college students enrolled in a formal co-op program through their university and alternates work and school semesters over a two-year period. This co-op position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment, working on real-world projects that make a tangible impact.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and analysis of structural components for various projects, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
  • Support civil engineering projects related to site development, roadways, drainage systems, and utilities.
  • Conduct field inspections and site visits to gather data and ensure project compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to develop and review project plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Utilize engineering software and tools for modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design calculations, drawings, and project reports.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the engineering team.
Requirements


Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Completed coursework in structural analysis, mechanics, materials, and civil engineering fundamentals.
  • Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to work in the Atlanta area.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, Civil 3D).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus but not required.
