Job Description Summary
The Villanova University Endowment Internship will introduce a successful candidate to all facets of the endowment’s investment process. The intern will work on specific projects for the endowment staff, creating and presenting analytical reports on the endowment’s fund managers, taking introductory meetings with fund managers, maintaining the endowment CRM system, maintaining the endowment portfolio in Bloomberg, Pitchbook, Caissa and possibly other software/databases, and shadowing occasional investment manager meetings. Interns may have the opportunity to shadow one of the endowment’s fund managers in their offices for a one-week period. The positions will work closely with the 5-person Investment Office and report to Shane McAndrew – Chief Investment Office for Villanova University. This role will provide a successful candidate with broad exposure to all major investment asset classes including public equities and fixed income, hedge funds, private equity (buyouts, growth equity and venture capital), as well as private credit and other niche investments.
