Company Summary: Beacon is a successful and national behavioral health company providing residential-based services and supports to children and adults with Complex Behavioral Health conditions, Severe Mental Illness, Autism, and other compounding medical conditions. Position Summary: The Clinical Intern provides supervised clinical support within their market or dedicated region. The intern facilitates psychoeducation groups and skills‑based interventions, assists with reviewing event reports, collects and analyzes program data, completes clinical documentation and assessments, and participates in interdisciplinary meetings to support coordinated, person‑centered care. This role is designed to build core competencies in a residential behavioral health practice while contributing to the daily functioning and therapeutic environment.   Primary Responsibilities: Participate in weekly supervision to build clinical skills, reflect on practice, and integrate feedback. Maintain regular, open, and consistent communication across clinical teams and with other departments. Assist in developing and implementing individualized crisis stabilization plans and provide direct crisis intervention and risk assessments when required. Attend program and team meetings, trainings, and supervisory sessions as required Performs ongoing reviews and audits of clinical charts to verify compliance with documentation standards, clinical best practices, and federal billing requirements Complete timely, accurate notes, group logs, assessments, and other required clinical records in accordance with agency and regulatory standards. Support and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies and providers to ensure optimal outcomes for the individuals served. Model and uphold the organization’s Core Values, Mission Statement, and guiding philosophies in all clinical interactions. Maintain and sustain a safe community environment and workplace. Follow Beacon's policies, procedures, and manuals. Accept other duties as assigned. Ensure full compliance with organizational policies and all applicable state and federal regulations. Foster a collaborative, “One Team” environment by supporting integration between clinical, medical, and operational teams to promote high-quality, coordinated care. Review incident/event reports, identify patterns or risk factors, and elevate concerns to supervisors.   Skills and Abilities: Must be able to communicate and function in an interdisciplinary team. Strong computer skills utilizing various software programs and applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to create professional employee communication materials. Works well independently. Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask and meet project deadlines. Capable of working well with all levels of the organization. A professional demeanor.
