POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief of Staff Graduate Intern serves as a strategic partner to the President of Clearwater, enabling effective leadership, operational excellence, and execution of key business priorities. This role acts as a force multiplier—driving alignment across teams, managing critical initiatives, and ensuring the President’s time and focus are optimized for maximum impact.
A critical component of this role is leading and accelerating Clearwater’s adoption of AI—identifying opportunities, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring AI initiatives translate into measurable business value.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Execution & Planning
- Translate the President’s vision into actionable priorities and ensure consistent execution across the organizationÂ
- Drive cross-functional initiatives from concept through completionÂ
- Monitor progress on strategic goals, identify risks, and implement corrective actionsÂ
2. AI Strategy & Transformation
- Partner with the President and leadership team to execute Clearwater’s AI strategyÂ
- Identify high-impact opportunities to apply AI across operations, products, and customer experienceÂ
- Drive adoption of AI tools and workflows to improve efficiency, decision-making, and scalabilityÂ
- Coordinate cross-functional AI initiatives, ensuring alignment between technical and business teamsÂ
- Track emerging AI trends and assess their relevance to Clearwater’s businessÂ
3. Executive Support & Leverage
- Serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board to the PresidentÂ
- Prepare briefings, talking points, and decision frameworks for internal and external engagementsÂ
- Manage and prioritize the President’s agenda to align with company objectivesÂ
4. Operational Leadership
- Improve internal processes to increase efficiency, communication, and accountabilityÂ
- Lead special projects and organizational initiatives on behalf of the PresidentÂ
- Coordinate leadership team rhythms (e.g., staff meetings, quarterly planning, offsites)Â
5. Cross-Functional Alignment
- Act as a central point of coordination across departments to ensure alignment and clarityÂ
- Break down silos and facilitate communication between leadership and teamsÂ
- Ensure follow-through on key decisions and initiativesÂ
6. Decision Support & Analytics
- Gather and synthesize data to support executive decision-makingÂ
- Develop dashboards, reports, and insights on company performanceÂ
- Identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and innovationÂ
7. Culture & Leadership Enablement
- Reinforce company culture and leadership principlesÂ
- Support internal communications and change management effortsÂ
- Help drive accountability and performance across the leadership team
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration or similar graduate program with graduation/completion date of no later than May 2027
- 5–10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or executive support roles
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
