CAMP PINE TREE - Intern Position
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 15 years old by June 23, 2025.
- Experience working with children (e.g.-babysitting/siblings) preferred.
- Maturity and a strong work ethic.
- Must be a “Team Player” exhibiting flexibility and the ability to have fun.
DESCRIPTION
Camp Pine Tree is a traditional summer day camp at the Greenbelt Youth Center, where campers ages 6-11, will participate in a variety of daily activities including sports, crafts, group games, field trips, free swim, and swimming lessons.
The intern program is designed to groom participants into the future staff of Camp Pine Tree. Under the supervision of Camp Management, an Intern is expected to assist in the daily operations of the camp. Interns are not paid and will be assigned a defined schedule during the summer, which is dependent upon the number of interns hired each summer.
EXPECTATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist camp staff with daily camp activities.
- Set up activities prior to campers arriving.
- Clean up areas after use.
- Actively participate in all camp activities.
- Be a role model to campers through your attitude and behavior.
- Remain on camp premises for duration of assigned shift, unless given a task that is off premises.
- Interns are NOT permitted to be left alone with the campers.
- Interns will NOT be permitted to go on camp field trips.
