The Athletic Graduate Intern at Gardner-Webb University is responsible for promoting and assisting an environment where the administration, supervision and management of his or her intercollegiate sport within the parameters of the rules and regulations of Gardner-Webb University and the NCAA.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Recruiting:
· Recruit and Evaluate PSAs
· Assist our coaching staff with posts and stories to put on IG and any other social media outlets to send to recruits
· Weekly updates on games for recruits to coaches
· Attend Games and Events
· Keep constant communication with recruits
Practice:
· In the office hour early to prep for practice
· Assist coaches with fall and spring practices
· Individual practice with players (including film breakdown)
Scouting:
· Clips and edits from Hudl
· Assist in Opponent and Team analysis
· Use Wyscout
Game duties and responsibilities:
· Help with game itinerary for other teams
· Coach your position - collaborate with coaches
· After game, helps clean up home field
· Assist with travel itinerary – away games / scrimmages
Other Duties:
· Assist with gear and equipment
· Assist with Camps
· Manage ARMS
· Adhere to NCAA, University and Big South Rules and Policies
· Duties as assigned by the head coach
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

● NCAA experience preferred
● Valid driver’s license, and eligibility to drive a college van.
● BA or equivalent combination of education and experience
● Effective communication, interpersonal and public relation skills
● Demonstrated ability to foster a positive and enthusiastic team attitude
● Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across cultural boundaries and work harmoniously with diverse groups of students, faculty and staff
● Experience planning, developing and administering budgets helpful
● Acceptance into a Gardner-Webb Master’s program required
