Job Summary

The Accounting Intern supports the Finance and Accounting Team with daily accounting operations while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment. This role assists with financial reporting, bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and administrative tasks, providing practical exposure to corporate accounting processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to developing a strong foundation in accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in recording daily financial transactions.

  • Organize and maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.

  • Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

  • Prepare journal entries under the supervision of senior accounting staff.

  • Assist in reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts.

  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules.

  • Review invoices, receipts, and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.

  • Encode accounting transactions into the company's accounting system or ERP.

  • Support inventory and fixed asset documentation as needed.

  • Assist in internal and external audit preparations by organizing requested documents.

  • Perform filing, scanning, and other accounting-related administrative tasks.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of financial information and company records.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Finance Team.

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in:

    • Accountancy

    • Accounting Information Systems

    • Management Accounting

    • Finance

    • Business Administration (major in Financial Management or Accounting)

  • Preferably in the third or fourth year of study.

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Eagerness to learn and accept constructive feedback.
